Your account
I forgot my password
On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot your password? and a link will be sent to your email address. Open it on the same device and you will be asked to choose a new password.
If you signed up with Apple or Google, you do not have a password with Watch Tonight at all — sign in with the same button you used originally.
I want to change my password
Open the Profile tab and choose Change password.
This option only appears if you signed up with an email address and password. Accounts created through Apple or Google have no password to change.
I want to delete my account
Open the Profile tab and choose Delete account. You will be asked to type a confirmation word first, because it cannot be undone.
Deletion is immediate. Your profile, your library, your chosen services and your quiz history all go with it. You do not need to email me to have it done.
Your movies
The app is suggesting movies I cannot watch
Check the streaming services on your Profile tab. The app only ever suggests movies available on the services you have selected, in the country you have selected, so if either is wrong the picks will be too.
I moved to another country
Open the Profile tab and change your country. Because streaming catalogues differ by country, any service your new country does not carry is removed from your selection, and the app will tell you which ones went. Your library is not affected.
I have seen all three picks already
Mark each one as Seen it and the app will bring in three more. You can also use the shuffle control at the top of the picks screen to deal a fresh set without answering the questions again.
A movie I turned down keeps coming back
Turning down a movie with Not for me removes it, and its sequels, for good. Skipping past a movie with shuffle only sets it aside for tonight — that is deliberate, so a movie you were not in the mood for is not lost forever.
Advertising
The app shows one advertisement while your picks are being prepared. You can decline personalised advertising when asked, and it makes no difference to the movies you are offered.
On iOS you can change your mind at any time in Settings, under Privacy and Security, then Tracking.
